Two Rivers Winery Wedding in Grand Junction, CO
I’m so excited to share a preview of Austin and Kodi’s beautiful wedding day at Two Rivers Winery in Grand Junction, Colorado. The winery is a stunning venue, nestled at the base of the Colorado National Monument, that provides an amazing setting to celebrate with family and friends.
Austin and Kodi are such genuinely nice people. From the first meeting to the last dance, they have been so welcoming and friendly. I am so honored to have been chosen to capture this day for them. Read on for more from the couple, and the gorgeous day.
From the bride, Kodi: “Austin and I met through a mutual friend in high school. Although he was a junior and I was a freshman, we continued to talk and become closer as our friendship grew into a relationship. We were able to watch one another grow, graduate high school, and continue on to careers or university. We celebrated one another's accomplishments and offered companionship and support during difficult times. One day, Austin's mother, Pamela, became very sick and was hospitalized unexpectedly. Even with prayers, family support, and everything the doctors could do, Pam passed away two weeks after she was hospitalized. It was an immensely difficult time for both of us and our families, as we all felt very lost. The New Year's Eve after she passed, Austin surprised me with a proposal using Pam's engagement ring. I could not have been more excited! To this day, I am not only thrilled to be a part of such an amazingly loving and supportive family, but also to have such a beautiful and sentimental reminder of a wonderful woman and loving mother, who will always be there with us in all of life's journeys.”
Vineyards surround Two Rivers Winery and Chateau, giving the venue a secluded setting away from roads and other properties.
Kodi found her dress at Victoria Rose in Grand Junction.
The bed in the bridal suite lends itself beautifully to display a wedding dress.
The bouquets and boutonnieres were designed by the always amazing Country Elegance in Grand Junction.
Such a sweet gift from her groom.
The guys looked so sharp! I loved the contrast of the grey and black.
Such a beautiful day. The sky and the views were stunning!
Anticipation… :)
Be still my heart. This… this is why I don’t encourage first looks. The reaction of seeing each other, in the moment, is so raw and genuine. LOVE.
JOY!
Appetizers were set up for the cocktail hour, catered by Flavors Grille. It looked almost too pretty to eat!
Such incredible views all around!
I always love grabbing the bride and groom for a few photos with that pretty evening light.
The cake and deserts were made by Sweet by Design.
First dance!
I am a sucker for the anniversary dance! I love this - it gets all the married couples on the floor, if for only a bit. Little by little, couples leave the dance floor according to how long they’ve been married. This dance was one for the books! There were still 4 couples remaining when they got to 50 years… wow! The longest married couple was the groom’s grandparents, having been married 61 years! They gave the new couple a little advice…
Groomsmen love…
The DJ, Ian McGuire with EmceeG, was such a breath of fresh air. We found ourselves laughing several times throughout the night at something he said or did. He kept the party going without being corny!
Thank you Austin and Kodi, for having us! :)
